Couples Therapy

Are you feeling far from the secure and caring connection that you want with your partner? At their best, relationships can be one of the most beautiful aspects of our lives. But they can also fill us with all kinds of distressing emotions. If you have not been able to resolve your relationship issues on your own, you might be ready for the support of couples therapy.

I work from an Emotionally-Focused Couples Therapy model, an approach with strong research backing. Through this lens, we examine how each partner is trying to hold onto the relationship–perhaps through finding distance during emotional storms or through demands that your loved one is more attentive.

As a couples therapist, I will work with you to understand your conflict patterns and the deeper emotional needs that are being expressed through your arguments. This helps to clear the way for more gratifying conversations with your loved one about your core feelings, needs, and desires; I will support you in these conversations as well.
